With a total of 700 teaching units, you will learn during a BAMF integration course how to use the German language in concrete everyday situations with confidence and without uncertainty.
You will cover the following topics, among others:
- Shopping and living
- Leisure time and social contacts
- work and profession
- The German health system and visits to the doctor
- Offices and authorities
What do I learn in a BAMF integration course?
The German integration course has two goals:
- On the one hand, it is about improving your German language skills so that you will soon be able to master everyday situations such as shopping, filling out forms or simply having a conversation with your neighbor without any problems.
- At the same time, the curriculum includes imparting important knowledge about Germany's values, culture and history. As a result, you will find your way around your new home in Germany even faster and better. In short, you will be able to integrate and socialize faster!
Divided into two parts, your integration course consists of a language course and a subsequent orientation course.
The Language Course
In the first part, the language course, you and your fellow students will concentrate fully on learning important vocabulary and grammar.
The language course is further divided into the basic and the advanced language course.
In the total of 600 teaching units (UE) you will deal with authentic topics from everyday life.
Afterwards you will be able to
- write letters or e-mails in German,
- find a new apartment on your own or
- apply for a job.
The Orientation Course
You have already successfully completed the language course? Congratulations!
You are now qualified to attend the second part of your BAMF integration course: the orientation course.
This comprises 100 teaching units (UE) and provides you with basic knowledge about life in Germany.
In imparting useful everyday knowledge, the focus is on these questions, among others:
- What do I need to know about the German legal system?
- What important events are part of German history and culture?
- What importance do values such as tolerance or equal rights for men and women have in Germany?
- What rights, but also what obligations do I have when I live in Germany?
The orientation course ends with the Life in Germany test. The certificate is a prerequisite for naturalisation.
